Training for Journalists HEFAT

The HEFAT (Hostile Environment and First Aid Training) is an innovative approach to preparing for work in dangerous conditions and providing first aid in extreme situations.

Date: April 11 – 13

With the support of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation, the 2402 Foundation (Daily Humanity) provides free training opportunities for media representatives and civil society activists.

The main blocks of the training include:

• Risk assessment
• Digital security
• Survival in combat conditions
• Tactical field care
• Transport a casualty
• Landmine safety

During the training, you will be able to:

• To learn to operate in unpredictable conditions, 
• To immerse in simulated dangerous situations while fulfilling journalistic duties without risking life and health
• To acquire skills in protecting valuable information from intruders under real threat and psychological pressure
• To learn to provide first aid in case of injury

This training is designed for journalists working in dangerous or unstable regions, and covers topics such as identifying threats, behavior during shelling, avoiding kidnapping, basic first aid, local orientation, and other essential skills.

Participation is free with the support of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation.
