Training Refresher ( 1 day), April 18, Kyiv

REFRESHER is an intensive simulation training course in tactical medicine and preparation for working in hostile environments for media representatives. It consists of scenario-based exercises in providing pre-hospital care under stressful conditions, closely mirroring the work of journalists in hostile environments.

Who is it for?

• Journalists, producers, media workers or freelancers
• Documentary filmmakers, photographers and videographers
• Drivers, security managers accompanying media teams

What are the conditions?

We encourage media professionals to apply who:

• Have at least two (2) years of professional experience covering the Ukrainian-Russian conflict for local and/or international press;
• Are currently working in high-risk or conflict-affected areas or are planning to travel to such areas;
• Are employees of Ukrainian media organizations or freelancers.

• Tactical medicine
• Working in a hostile environment
• 90% practice, 10% debriefing after scenario exercises

Participant Requirements:

• Certificate from HEFAT training or a tactical medicine course
• Certificate validity — no more than 2 years!!!
• Knowledge of the MARCH algorithm
• Passing the preliminary selection and test
• Readiness for intensive physical activity
