2402 Foundation invites you to Sakartvelo SOS: Eastern Europe Experience for Georgia

A series of online meetings within the project "Sakartvelo SOS: Eastern Europe Experience for Georgia", organized by Daily Humanity in collaboration with the NGO "Insight", will take place on September 26 and October 10, 2024

The event aims to create a platform for experience exchange between journalists and civil society representatives from Georgia, Ukraine, and other Eastern European countries.

The project takes place against the backdrop of increasing threats to democracy and the approaching parliamentary elections in Georgia, scheduled for October 26, 2024. Participants will focus on discussing practical solutions for protecting freedoms, countering the abuse of power, and developing a solidarity and awareness campaign.

The event will feature well-known experts and civil society activists (full list will be available to registered participants):

Oleksandra Matviichuk - head of the Center for Civil Liberties, 2022 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, who will share her experience in creating the "Euromaidan SOS" help network.

Olena Shevchenko - head of NGO "Insight", co-founder of the Women's March, who will talk about international advocacy and solidarity practices.

Kateryna Sergatskova - executive director of 2402 Foundation, a journalist with 20 years of experience working in hostile environments, who will present key security challenges and basics of preparation.

The project will be closed to the general public due to potential risks, so you must register to participate.

Daily Humanity is a non-profit organization based in Denmark that supports educational projects for journalists, civil society organizations, and humanitarian workers in dangerous conditions. Their initiative, 2402 Foundation, aims to enhance the safety and training of journalists in Ukraine.

NGO "Insight" is a Ukrainian organization engaged in human rights activities, education, and support for the LGBTQ+ community, based on the principles of equality, inclusivity, and diversity.
