Training on Trauma-Informed Leadership and Resilience Building — by Dart Center and Daily Humanity

The 2402 Foundation and Daily Humanity, in association with the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma, successfully conducted two training sessions aimed at supporting journalists, trainers, and psychologists working with the challenges of covering complex stories and traumatic events.

On November 22-24, December 13-15, and December 20-22, intensive workshops took place, combining practical exercises with open discussions and creating a platform for experience sharing and professional growth. Daily Humanity supports this project as part of an initiative to develop a professional network that enhances the psychological resilience of Ukrainian media.

The training sessions brought together journalists with teaching and mentoring experience, media trainers, psychologists with hands-on expertise, and leaders seeking to understand the impact of trauma on mental health.

During the training, participants gained:

  • Tools for addressing traumatic topics
  • Guidance on supporting the mental health of colleagues and teams
  • Techniques for countering online attacks and managing stress
  • Skills to adapt editorial policies to contemporary challenges
  • Membership in a community of professionals dedicated to fostering psychological well-being in media
