Psychological First Aid (PFA) is an intensive training that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application to improve a participant’s ability to cope with psychological pressures and take immediate action when a person experiences distress.
Program includes:
Core Resilience and Coping Skills
- Core Principles of Psychological First Aid (PFA): what is PFA and how to provide PFA for yourself and colleagues, mitigate acute stress reactions and support each other;
- Practical excersices: techniques to support colleagues and how to apply PFA to yourself;
Understanding Stress & Trauma
- Explore the biological, emotional, and behavioral effects of stress and trauma;
- The Stress Response: “fight, flight, or freeze” mechanism;
- Chronic Stress and its effects on physical and mental health;
- Trauma and its Aftermath;
- Stressors in hostile environments and war zones.
Mental Toughness Training
Building resilience and tolerance to distress.
