Advanced course for media and public sector: risk assessment

This is a series of workshops and lectures aimed at training specialists in various high-risk fields who want to develop as trainers and consultants in security and risk assessment for individuals and organizations in hostile environments

  • Conditions: Participation is free for freelancers, employees of Ukrainian NGOs, and media.

  • Duration: 5 days, >30 hours.

Goals:
  • Prepare specialists to expand the activities of the 2402 training program and other initiatives of the Daily Humanity organization encompassing training, consulting, and other safety-related products
  • To broaden the network of individuals interested in advancing the field of safety and risk assessment, and who are currently working or planning to work in ensuring physical and organizational safety within companies
  • Develop a safety culture at the organizational level
  • Design and consolidate methodological training materials for future specialists

What we will do?
  • Detail and discuss the current risk assessment program within HEFAT and HEAT trainings by 2402 Foundation, including technological components and VR programs for building mental models
  • Delve into protocols, organizational policies, and implementation rules for risk assessment
  • Learn to develop mental models, understand, and create behavioral patterns
  • Learn to conduct security audits at both individual and organizational levels
  • Learn to understand human thought processes, the impact of stress, mental disorders, experience, and the environment on risk analysis and assessment
  • Conduct an open examination with the audience (open workshop)
  • Analyze numerous real-life cases

Who we’re looking for?
  • Your career is progressing in humanitarian organizations / public sector / media
  • You have training experience or expertise in consultancy and expert work
  • You possess expertise in safety in one or multiple areas (digital security, physical security, medical aid, disaster medicine, HR, military affairs (sergeant or officer rank), investigative or war journalism, humanitarian mission organization, human rights activities, etc.)
  • You have managerial experience
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
Ideal candidate – an individual in a managerial role within an organization, whose responsibilities include risk assessment or overseeing employee safety measures.

  • Successfully completed application form
  • Interview (conducted in Ukrainian)
  • Applications are accepted from participants from Ukraine and European Union countries
