“If you are covering the war in Ukraine as a journalist, that is exactly the training that you need.”
“Thank you for the opportunity to learn to take care of yourself, your safety, and those around you under martial law, especially while working in a combat zone.”
“I think that every person living in a country at war, at least for themselves, should take such wonderful courses to understand the algorithm of actions in a situation that, God forbid, could happen to anyone, in order to be able to help their neighbor.”
“Trainings from Daily Humanity are a treasure. I can confidently speak from my own experience. I passed the three-day HEFAT training in 2024 and now — the Refresher. The program is professionally and clearly designed. The instructors are real experts who know how to explain everything in a very understandable way, even for those who have never held a tourniquet in their hands. I can only recommend it. And of course — I am already looking forward to the next event.”
“I structured all my knowledge and learned how to apply it in practice. Now I understand much more about the rules of working in areas of direct threat and conditional safety.”
“The information and instruction received was presented in a professional manner. The instructing staff were very experienced and helpful, quantifying their teaching through practical exercises and scenarios.”
“This is the first HEAT training I’ve attended that truly reflects the reality of working near the front lines in Ukraine. From treating shrapnel injuries to responding to drone attacks, in theory and in practice. It’s not pretty, but it prepares you for what may be coming.”
“Everything was truly at a very high level — very well organized, informative, and professionally delivered. We sincerely appreciate the quality of the organization as well as the knowledge and practical skills shared. The drone training was especially useful — really spot on, as they say.”
“The DH Foundation has been an excellent partner. The practical training and scenarios made our team feel as prepared as possible to report safely. The medical training was the best I have ever seen. After the course, journalists could confidently apply a tourniquet and perform basic trauma care — feeling empowered and ready to report in Ukraine.”
“Practical, active, fun. Highly recommended for everyone who works in frontline areas — and not only.”
“DH Foundation’s courses stand out for their practical, real-life focus — from emergency first aid and evacuation drills to staying safe after shelling or drone attacks. These trainings are changing newsroom culture and practices.”

“This is the first time I have undergone training with such a detailed simulation of a hostile environment, which was sorely lacking during other trainings. The conditions created by the organizers help to immerse in the process as much as possible and transfer theory to practice, so that later work would be even calmer and safer.”
“With my benchmark from Syria, Afghanistan, and Mexico, I can attest to the outstanding professionalism of the Foundation’s team. The organizational aspects were completely efficient, maximizing delivery from international and local teams. I wholeheartedly recommend any collaboration with the Foundation.”
