THE 2402 FOUNDATION IS EXPANDING: NOW NOT ONLY FOR JOURNALISTS
We teach how to survive in a hostile environment and
not give up in critical situations
The 2402 Foundation is expanding its activities and will now help not only journalists but also everyone who works in the war zone (including where lethal weapons strike) and the front-line zone, in particular, representatives of humanitarian organizations, documentaries of war crimes, human rights defenders and volunteers For this purpose, the training program and the pool of trainers will be expanded.
The main goal of the 2402 Foundation for the next year is to teach how to survive in difficult conditions and make safety knowledge and skills a fundamental value for everyone who lives and works in Ukraine. We plan to train at least 100 people every month out of 1200 people annually.
WHAT WE DO?
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the 2402 Foundation has been distributing bulletproof vests, helmets, tactical first-aid kits, and communication equipment and conducting HEFAT security training for journalists working in dangerous environments. The theoretical and practical knowledge presented in the course helps to save lives for yourself and the people around you in case of an extreme situation. We have already trained and organized security for around 500 press members.

Everyone who undergoes training receives certificates - a document trusted by the most significant international insurance companies and employers.

The 2402 Foundation`s training is environmentally friendly: we have joined the initiative of UNEP and the One Planet Sustainable Tourism Program to limit single-use plastics and use water accordingly.

The 2402 Foundation is a verified member of the ACOS Alliance, a global coalition of more than 150 news organizations, associations, and community organizations working to advocate for safe and appropriate journalistic practices.

Our support is the development and support of a well-known society in which everyone is aware of the safety of property, knows how to assess risks, navigates in dangerous conditions, and knows how to prevent death and save life. The higher the awareness of broad population segments about safety and self-defense, the safer, more confident, and more resistant society becomes to threats and stress.
WHAT IS CHANGING?
The 2402 Foundation continues to develop the program for journalists, and will deepen it and add new directions. At the same time, we are expanding the circle of those who can take advantage of the fund's opportunities. From now on, even more people from various fields will be able to undergo training and receive protective equipment.
UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS CAN YOU GET SOMETHING FROM THE 2402 FOUNDATION?
For representatives of non-profit and non-governmental organizations in Ukraine, we provide training, protective equipment and other services free of charge.

The 2402 Foundation is independent and relies entirely on donations from corporations, trusts, foundations and individuals. He is currently part of the program activities of the NGO Daily Humanity, Denmark. The fund was founded by journalists Kateryna Sergatskova and Roman Stepanovich in February 2022.
