2402 Foundation has been implementing an initiative for over seven months that helps Ukrainian journalists work more safely in combat zones. Thanks to this campaign, hundreds of media professionals have received first aid kits, which are a crucial tool for preserving life in dangerous conditions.
The “First Aid Kits for Ukrainian Journalists” campaign is aimed at supporting journalists who are covering the events of the full-scale invasion, risking their own lives. The first aid kits provided to media professionals are carefully equipped with all the necessary items, according to the recommendations of our trainer Dmytro Hladyshevskyi, for survival in critical situations: a tourniquet, an occlusive patch, an Israeli bandage, a pill pack, medical gloves, a thermal blanket, a tamponade bandage, an eye shield, adhesive plaster, and non-traumatic scissors. The initiative allows for increasing the level of physical safety for media professionals and demonstrates support and recognition of the work of Ukrainian media specialists.
2402 Foundation is actively engaging the support of partners and donors who help with the purchase of medical supplies and kit assembly. The campaign is ongoing, and we aim to reach even more journalists working in dangerous conditions.
We express our gratitude to the CPJ organization https://2402.org/cpj-has-donated-20000-towards-the-first-aid-kits-for-ukrainian-journalists-campaign/ and all the concerned individuals who have joined the initiative. Your contributions save lives and help journalists continue their important mission.
