Join REFRESHER: Intensive Tactical Medicine Training for Journalists in Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa

Foundation 2402, in collaboration with Reporters Without Borders (RSF), will conduct a series of intensive training sessions on tactical medicine and working in hostile environments, providing journalists with an opportunity to update their first aid and evacuation skills under stressful conditions. Participants will gain practical experience in simulated dangerous situations that closely resemble real working conditions in conflict zones

REFRESHER is an intensive simulation training course in tactical medicine and preparation for working in hostile environments for media representatives. It consists of scenario-based exercises in providing pre-hospital care under stressful conditions, closely mirroring the work of journalists in hostile environments. The training is organized in collaboration with the NGO “Reporters Without Borders” (RSF) and funded by the European Union

Main blocks:

  • Tactical medicine
  • Working in a hostile environment
  • 90% practice, 10% debriefing after scenario exercises

  • Updated skills and knowledge in tactical medicine according to the MARCH algorithm at ASM level
  • Scenario training for evacuation and pre-medical assistance in stressful conditions
  • Enhanced skills for working in hostile environments

Dates and Locations:

  • August 10 – Kharkiv (1 day)
  • August 17-18 – Dnipro (2 days)
  • August 30-31 – Odesa (2 days)
  • Time: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Features:

  • Kharkiv: Urban scenario training
  • Dnipro and Odesa: Training at a training ground, includes practical exercises in mine safety

Participant Requirements:

  • Certificate from HEFAT training or a tactical medicine course
  • Certificate validity — no more than 2 years!!!
  • Knowledge of the MARCH algorithm
  • Passing the preliminary selection and test
  • Readiness for intensive physical activity
