2402 Foundation presented HEFAT Training Study Results and Gave First Aid Kits to Graduates
On November 21, 2402 Foundation held an event where they presented the study results of HEFAT training (Hostile Environment and First Aid Training) and gave first aid kits to graduates as part of the “First Aid Kits for Ukrainian Journalists” campaign. The event brought together media representatives, experts, and organization partners.
According to the study results, HEFAT training by 2402 Foundation received a score of 9.94 out of 10. A unique feature of the program is that 2402 Foundation is the only organization in Ukraine that uses VR technologies to create realistic stress simulations.
During the event, Leonid Fedorovskyi, Chairman of the Board of the Association of First Aid and Tactical Medicine Operators and Instructors, presented a joint project with 2402 Foundation. In his presentation, he elaborated on the key aspects of media workers’ safety and the importance of professional training for operations in hazardous environments.
A special moment of the event was the ceremony of giving specialized first aid kits to training graduates. This initiative is implemented as part of the “First Aid Kits for Ukrainian Journalists” campaign launched by 2402 Foundation on May 3, 2024. The campaign aims to raise $60,000 to purchase 400 first aid kits and tourniquets for journalists working in combat zones. We are deeply grateful to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) for their support and thank everyone for donations!
The event also served as an excellent platform for networking and experience sharing among media professionals. Participants had the opportunity to discuss current challenges in journalist safety and share their experiences of working in wartime conditions.
