The 2402 Foundation in cooperation with the International Women’s Media Foundation and the Ukrainska Pravda media outlet is organizing the training “Countering Online Attacks for Ukrainian Editors and Journalists”
Why is it important?
In the modern world, personal data protection is crucial for journalists’ safety. Online harassers are frequently using personal information, such as home addresses, family photos, and old posts on social media, to target journalists. These actions threaten not only the reputation of individual journalists but also the work of entire editorial teams.
However, there are effective methods of protection. At the training, you will learn how media organizations can improve the security of their employees and freelancers. We will provide practical recommendations on how to counteract online violence and respond to attacks.
What you will learn:
Trainer: Ela Stepley, digital security consultant, UK. Operates internationally to support journalists with their digital security needs.
