Foundation 2402 (Daily Humanity) invites journalists, producers, documentarians and drivers of media teams to a safety training with scenarios of drone attacks on civilians in Ukraine.
The free training, which includes a journalism workshop, will take place on 5-7 December, 2025 in Kyiv and Kyiv region and will be available to media professionals, whether they work for Ukrainian publications or are freelancers. This was made possible thanks to the support of The Globe and Mail Foundation in Canada.
“In recent months, it has been painful to watch how Russian drones attack journalists, humanitarian workers, residents of frontline cities – in just one month, four journalists were killed by FPV drones in Ukraine and even more were injured. As our mission is to help save lives for those working in war zones, we are constantly looking for resources to provide the skills and knowledge that are urgently needed. We are grateful that our partners at The Globe and Mail Foundation have supported this initiative,” said Kateryna Sergatskova, Executive Director of Daily Humanity and risk expert.
HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training) using FPV drones is an innovative training to prepare for work in dangerous environments by incorporating relevant practical scenarios with real challenges.
The program combines updating knowledge in tactical medicine, wartime safety and practical scenarios using drones and pyrotechnics to create the most realistic conditions.
